For the first assignment in DS 106, we're asked to tell a short story of something that has happened to us recently.
All the video and photos were taken using my iphone4 and the cartoon downloaded from Youtube using pwnyoutube. I didn't write out a script, which is fairly obvious. I did have to retake the narration about 4 times until it was somewhat coherent. Looking forward to see what others create.
Your kids are so good to you, they don;t want you to get lazy on that pink couch. What a cute pair, though Charlotte looks more friendly than Spike.
I remember when we obtained a “watchdog in training” to begin to supplant the oh-so-excellent work our Lab (with a bit of german shepherd in him) had been doing for many years. The old guy could hear cars turning off the concession road and into our country lane (over half a mile away) and would always present a full-bark countenance (guaranteed to keep strangers in their vehicles) — whereas the new puppy would jump and spring so happily into the air, he didn’t scare anyone. It didn’t look like the new guy would ever work out as well as the old one.
I fondly recall sitting on the lawn one summer afternoon, having just retrieved a burger from the grill, when the young pup came bounding straight towards me, his eyes intent on the burger. As he moved, tail wagging happily, towards my right hand, I deftly shifted the burger leftwards across my body and then between my left arm and body, thus blocking his access. It was so smooth, it was if the burger had magically vanished from existence — which is exactly what happened a short second later, as the old guy, strategically positioned behind me and to the left, deftly snagged the burger from my hand.
To this day, I maintain that the old dog had taught the new one a very specific trick — and that the new one played his part perfectly.
Best of luck with your new addition. I expect that if you can get to the couch first, you can still get some space on it for yourself.
That ending with Charlotte looking so sadly at the dog who just ran away with her toy is priceless.
