I pulled this off of my school+blogging RSS feed. Not sure whether the idea of parents blogging has been talked about much. We talk about giving students a voice and the power of community and this offers the same for parents.
This story about a parenting voicing concerns obviously raises the typical questions but one board member is quoted as saying:
“It’s a community right to have a blog on anything they want,” he said. “That’s the beauty of the blog. The blog gives a voice to the people.”
This school district seems to have a healthy attitude about free speech and the role of blogs.
