Dean, if I still worked in teaching I'd be in your 'hood doing it. Look at what my former colleagues discovered this week. It's incredible:

Brilliant responses! It's really great to hear stories like Ed using FB to help a student with special needs and Lana's story about the incident being treated (rightly) as bullying. It brings hope to see people making intelligent decisions about how to handle technology.

Richard, thank you for the comments. Thanks to Dean's leadership and support (and our school division), it is possible for us to be innovative and feel secure in our profession. Unfortunately, not all educators/schools have that professional freedom. So, hats off to all who dare to believe in the power of learning!

Dean, a great way to address the issue. I especially appreciate the candor shows by Ed, Gord, Lona, and Patricia. I found myself making connections between "just socializing" and the way adults work together successfully.

Great comments from your teachers, Dean, and my personal favourite was from Gord Taylor. Please tell him for me that this is exactly the kind of attitude--and support for leaders like you--that can make all the difference in how we can bring the world to our schools, and take our schools to the world. I've not heard a better statement of empowerment and respect for students.

I know it exists elsewhere, but this was elegant. Gord, you rock.
