Hey Dean,
Just a thought, something like this would have been a great way to get to know my classmates at the beginning of the semester. As I read it just popped into my head that it would have been as good as the google docs. (maybe a mixture of both would have been cool) Let's it go a bit deeper into who you are than in my first year with a major in math.

What a great idea for a post!!! And by posting it, you have made me reflect a little too... My daughter, now an adult got to help me when I was a graduate student and played nicely with specially perpared brown paper bags of goodies that I prepared while I coached students and gave the odd language lesson!!! She also took part in intensive German and Wittgenstein courses, some while still "unborn". Hmm is that why she speaks 6 languages and likes philosophy? My other son doesn't bicycle yet, but I bicycled with him in my belly right until he was born - they wouldn't let me take a bicycle into the birthing room however. It is amazing sometimes to reflect and think back and try to see what influences us. I've been following your blog for a while now, and also bumped into you at the K12 Online Conference, from which I am still recovering. Thank you so much for sharing, and for "leading" the way - Happy New Year Dean!!!

You cook? #4 sounds just like my house! You see, I grew up in a big family so my cooking skills were limited to large amounts. My husband on the other hand was an only child and totally understood cooking for small groups. It was a task I was more than happy to let him commandeer. So now, 23 years later, the TV (which I also gave up a long time ago) is on ESPN, any channel that has a ballgame of some variety, or the Food Network. Meals are always fun at my house.
