This is the most proactive set of tips I've seen and think it will be quite eye-opening for most parents. Putting this responsibility (back) into the hands of parents is a huge step toward their understanding of this, and other, daily realities of their digital native children. Having the parent become a member of their child's DSN is ingenius. I truly believe most parents have no idea what a DSN is all about.
