Although not nearly as fancy as Dean's digital Storytelling Wiki, I have created a quick overview of wikis, blogs and podcasts on PB wiki to share with my teachers so they can get a general idea of what they are and can choose an indepth training session on the technologies they are most interested in. You are welcome to take a look.

Thank you for spelling out what wikis can do for teachers as a professional development tool. I have been thinking along the same lines and have started creating a wiki for our 5th and 6th grade teachers, who I will be leading as the technology coordinator this upcoming school year.

Over the last months, I have experienced for myself the process of using Web 2.0 tools, including wikis, blogs, social bookmarking tools and the power of how they all interact together.

We can’t underestimate the importance of having educator- colleagues go through the same process by using these tools and being part of a learning community to understand their impact in education/teaching/learning rather than just sit at a workshop or PD session and have the information being administered by the spoonful from a presenter.
