Dan Weinstein has put together a simple but effective tutorial on Audacity using uploaded photos in his flickr account.
Nice innovative use of flickr. While products like Camtasia, Wink and Windows Media Encoder are much more powerful screencasting tools, I like the simplicity of using flickr.

Much as I enjoyed this Audacity tutorial on time shifting (I didn’t know it!), I wonder how accessible it is for folks in school districts.
For example, if I were to link to this from my 5 Steps to District Blogs presentation in my district, you would encounter this problem.

Ah Miguel,
The never ending struggle with filtering. I wish I could say I feel your pain but at this point I haven’t been faced with this issue. I suppose I need to consider it as I pass info along.
Until recently I never checked my blog in IE either not considering that many(most) of my subscribers don’t use FireFox.
Thanks for the reminder.

Dean,
Thanks for the compliment. I like simple, too.
Those whose institutional filters do not allow access to Flickr, a standalone flash slideshow, along similar lines as the Flickr slideshow, might be a solution.
One suggestion: “Simple Viewer”

You make the pictures, it does the rest.
Best,
